Warehouse and Construction CPR Training in the Inland Empire

CPR Rancho Cucamonga brings AHA Heartsaver CPR AED and First Aid training to warehouses, distribution centers and job sites across the Inland Empire, in English or Spanish. Cal/OSHA expects a trained first aid person when no clinic or hospital is in near proximity. Crews of 5 or more pay $80 to $60 per student for CPR AED, with same-day eCards.

The rule

What Cal/OSHA and OSHA ask of warehouses and job sites

For warehouses and other general industry sites, Cal/OSHA Title 8 section 3400(b) says that in the absence of an infirmary, clinic or hospital in near proximity to the workplace, used for the treatment of all injured employees, a person or persons shall be adequately trained to render first aid. Section 3400(c) adds adequate first-aid materials on every job. Federal OSHA has the same rule in 29 CFR 1910.151(b).

For construction, section 1512(b) asks each employer to ensure a suitable number of appropriately trained persons to render first aid, and lets employers on one project form a shared pool large enough for the combined workforce. The federal construction rule, 29 CFR 1926.50(c), calls for a person with a valid first aid certificate, such as Red Cross or equivalent verifiable training, at the worksite when care is not reasonably accessible.

In practice

What it means for your team

Why first aid matters more than CPR alone here

The Cal/OSHA and OSHA rules above are about first aid, not CPR alone, so most warehouse and construction crews take Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED, which pairs first aid with CPR and the AED. It runs $88 to $66 per student for groups of 5 or more.

Heartsaver CPR AED, at the published group tiers, suits sites that already have first aid covered and want more people able to start compressions and use the AED.

Crews that train in Spanish

Across the warehouse cities near us, many workers speak Spanish at home: about 47 percent of residents age 5 and up in Ontario, 49 percent in Fontana, 54 percent in Jurupa Valley and 71 percent in Bloomington (Census ACS 2024).

We teach first aid and CPR in Spanish, so a crew learns in the language it uses on the floor. A mixed site can run an English and a Spanish group in the same visit.

Distribution corridors we travel to

The industrial south side of Rancho Cucamonga, toward 4th Street and I-15, the airport-area logistics employers in Ontario, the Mira Loma warehouse district in Jurupa Valley and the logistics yards along I-10 in Bloomington are all inside our onsite area.

Our team has trained staff at Amazon and Costco. We set up in a training room, a break room or a warehouse office with every manikin and AED trainer.

FAQ

Warehouse and Construction: common questions

Does Cal/OSHA require first aid trained employees on construction sites?

Yes. Cal/OSHA Title 8 section 1512(b) asks each construction employer to ensure a suitable number of appropriately trained persons to render first aid, and employers on one project may pool them. Federal 29 CFR 1926.50(c) asks for a person with a valid first aid certificate when care is not reasonably accessible.

How many warehouse employees need first aid training?

Cal/OSHA section 3400 does not set a number: it requires a person or persons adequately trained in first aid when no clinic or hospital is in near proximity. OSHA has read near proximity as about 3 to 4 minutes where serious injuries can happen, so many sites train people on every shift and area.

Can crews train in Spanish?

Yes. We teach first aid, CPR and AED in Spanish as well as English. In Bloomington about 71 percent of residents age 5 and up speak Spanish at home (Census ACS 2024), so tell us in your quote request how many people would rather train in Spanish and we will split the groups that way.

Do you teach Bloodborne Pathogens?

Red Cross Bloodborne Pathogens Training is available as an online course for employees whose duties can expose them to blood. Group pricing is quoted on request, and it pairs well with onsite Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED for first aid responders.

How much does onsite CPR cost per person?

Onsite AHA Heartsaver CPR AED is priced per student by group size: 5: $80; 6 to 10: $78; 11 to 15: $73; 16 to 29: $68; 30 or more: $60. The minimum onsite group is 5. Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED, the usual warehouse course, runs 5: $88; 6 to 10: $86; 11 to 15: $80; 16 to 29: $75; 30 or more: $66 on the same tiers.

Is there a travel fee, and what do we provide?

There is no travel fee anywhere in Southern California. The instructor brings the manikins, AED trainers, supplies and eCards, and we can come any day and at any time, weekends and evenings too. Your team provides the room.
