FAQ

Bloodborne pathogens training: common questions

Is the bloodborne pathogens course really all online?

Yes. There is no classroom visit and no skills session. You take it on a phone, tablet or computer, at your own pace, and can pause and come back.

How often do I need bloodborne pathogens training?

Every year. OSHA's Bloodborne Pathogens Standard calls for training when you start a job with possible exposure and at least once a year after that, and this certificate is valid for one year.

Does this course meet my employer's OSHA requirement?

It is built for that requirement, but your employer decides. OSHA also expects you to be able to ask a knowledgeable person questions, so your employer may add a short review of its own exposure control plan.

Who needs bloodborne pathogens training in Rancho Cucamonga?

Anyone whose job can bring contact with blood or other potentially infectious materials: medical and dental office staff, school health aides and custodians, tattoo artists, first aid responders and lab workers.

Do you also teach in-person CPR and first aid?

Yes. BLS, ALS, PALS and Adult and Pediatric First Aid CPR AED are taught in person in our Rancho Cucamonga classroom. Many employers pair yearly bloodborne pathogens training with a current CPR card.
