Who we train
Six kinds of teams ask most often. Each needs a different card, and we match the course before we arrive.
Dental offices
The Dental Board of California lists BLS as a mandatory renewal course and does not accept online-only BLS. We certify dentists, hygienists and assistants together, often over a lunch block.
Schools and campuses
California's preliminary teaching credentials call for infant, child and adult CPR to AHA or Red Cross standards, and CIF lists First Aid and CPR among the requirements to coach. Rancho Cucamonga has five school districts and Chaffey College.
Gyms and studios
California Health and Safety Code 104113 requires every health studio to keep an AED and train staff to use it. Studios open when no employee is present must train every employee within 30 days of hire.
Warehouses and construction
Cal/OSHA Title 8 section 3400 calls for a person adequately trained in first aid when no clinic or hospital is in near proximity, and section 1512 asks construction employers for a suitable number of trained people.
Medical offices and clinics
Kaiser Permanente on Arrow Route, San Antonio Regional Hospital's plaza on Milliken Avenue and Loma Linda University Health on Haven Avenue anchor outpatient care in Rancho Cucamonga. Clinical staff need BLS, and ACLS or PALS where they sedate or see children.
Childcare
Childcare programs ask for pediatric first aid and pediatric CPR. We are still confirming which of our courses carries the state approval childcare staff need, so call us before you book a childcare group and we will tell you what we can offer.
Rules
One line per rule, each linked to the primary source. They decide which course your team needs.
Cal/OSHA, general industry
Title 8 section 3400(b): without an infirmary, clinic or hospital in near proximity, a person or persons must be adequately trained to render first aid. Title 8, 3400
Cal/OSHA, construction
Title 8 section 1512(b): each employer must have a suitable number of appropriately trained persons to render first aid; employers on one site may pool them. Title 8, 1512
Federal OSHA
29 CFR 1910.151(b) carries the same first aid rule for general industry nationwide. 29 CFR 1910.151

Health studios

How it works
Five steps from the first call to the last eCard. You provide the room; we bring everything else. Most small offices finish in a single visit.
Headcount, roles and the card each person needs: BLS for clinical staff, Heartsaver for everyone else.
Any day and time that suits your team, weekends and evenings included. Any room with floor space for manikins works: a break room, classroom, conference room or warehouse office.
The instructor brings all of it: manikins, AED trainers, supplies and course materials, set up before your team walks in. There is no travel fee anywhere in Southern California.
Compressions, AED use and choking relief, coached hands-on, then a skills check for every person.
Everyone who passes gets an eCard the same day, valid for two years and ready for HR or a licensing board.
En español
About 18 percent of Rancho Cucamonga residents age 5 and up speak Spanish at home, and about 36 percent across San Bernardino County (Census ACS 2024). The share is higher in the cities around us: about 47 percent in Ontario, 49 percent in Fontana, 55 percent in Rialto, 61 percent in Perris and 71 percent in Bloomington.
We teach BLS and first aid in Spanish, so a crew can learn compressions, the AED and first aid in the language it uses at work. Mixed teams can split into an English and a Spanish group in the same visit; say so in your quote request.
Clases de CPR en español. Onsite pages for the cities with the highest share: Bloomington, Perris, Rialto and Jurupa Valley.
Free sessions
The City of Rancho Cucamonga and Healthy RC have run free one-hour sessions for business owners with hands-on CPR and naloxone (Narcan) practice, listed on the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce calendar (event listing). They are a good first step, and we are not part of them.
A certification class is different: each employee practices on a manikin until the skills check is passed, then gets an AHA or Red Cross card valid for 2 years. That card is what an employer files to show a trained first aid person, what a dental office shows the Dental Board and what a school files for a credential.

Any day and any time that works for your team. Weekday mornings, evenings and weekends are all possible, so a clinic can train after hours and a warehouse can train around its shifts. Tell us your preferred date in the quote request.
Most AHA BLS Provider students finish in under 2 hours. Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED takes 2 to 4 hours, depending on the modules your team needs. A mixed office can run BLS for clinical staff and Heartsaver for everyone else in the same visit.
Yes. Every employee who passes an AHA course gets the AHA eCard the same day, valid for 2 years, so HR or a licensing board can file it right away. Teams that train together also renew together, two years later.
Cal/OSHA Title 8 section 3400 requires a person adequately trained in first aid when no clinic or hospital is in near proximity, and section 1512 covers construction. CPR by name appears in a few specific federal standards. Our Cal/OSHA guide quotes each rule; your safety lead decides how it applies.
BLS Provider is the healthcare level, for dental teams, nurses, medical assistants and EMTs. Heartsaver fits teachers, coaches, office staff and crews: Heartsaver CPR AED for CPR only, Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED when first aid is needed too. Your employer or licensing board has the final word.
Both. CPR Rancho Cucamonga is an AHA Training Site and a Red Cross Training Provider. Most employers accept either, and the Dental Board accepts AHA or Red Cross BLS. Some clinics ask for AHA by name. Both have published per-student group prices: Red Cross First Aid CPR AED runs $72 to $54 and Red Cross BLS $62 to $47 per student.
Yes. We teach BLS and first aid in Spanish as well as English. Many teams we visit are mixed, so tell us in your quote request how many people would rather train in Spanish and we will plan the session that way.
Often not. The Dental Board of California does not accept online-only BLS and requires a live skills session. Many employers want the same hands-on proof. AHA HeartCode BLS, online learning plus an in-person skills check, ends with the same BLS Provider card as the full class.
Yes. AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED adds bleeding control, burns, allergic reactions and other common injuries to CPR and the AED. It runs $88 to $66 per student by group size, from 5 students; pick it in the quote calculator to see your group's price.
A free awareness session, like the City of Rancho Cucamonga and Healthy RC hands-on CPR and Narcan hour for business owners, teaches the basics. Our onsite courses end with a skills test and an official AHA or Red Cross card valid for 2 years, which is what employers and licensing boards file.
Onsite AHA BLS and Heartsaver for groups of 5 or more at $80 to $60 per student, with no travel fee anywhere in Southern California. Ask for a group quote or call (909) 323-3784.
